Oppressed or oppressors?

This whole Trayvon Martin case is so ridiculous. Some African Americans are so quick to throw out the race cards and if you disagree, you’re labeled as a racist.

Souvenirs: I don’t get why people say they hate their parents.

kelvotoro:

As much as I fight, argue, or be frustrated, I don’t think I can ever say I hate them. Sure, they don’t deserve the parent of the year award, but I love them. The feelings might not be 100% mutual, but I’ll always care for my parents, and I could never say I hate them. Sure, they…

You don’t get why people say that because you don’t understand. What do you say to the children who are constantly being abused by their parents? I’m not talking about just a slap across the face because you did something stupid. How about the ones who are being raped every night by their parents? Or the children who are being thrown across the room because their parents are drunk? There are so much scenarios that you probably didn’t even consider. You said that without them, you wouldn’t be here. That’s true for everyone, but who’s to say that everyone was a planned kid? Do you think the parents who planned the birth of their child is treating their kids the same way a rape victim is raising their kids? Everyone has a different story so don’t act like you are going through what these kids are going through. Some kids are lucky enough that they only have to imagine what life’s like having abusive parents because there are actually kids out there who are going through shit.
